Agartala: Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha on Saturday inaugurated the state’s first cybercrime police station at AD Nagar in Agartala, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.“Cybercrime is like fighting against shadows. Technical skill is required to combat it. People also need to be more aware and alert about cybercrime. The security system, too, should be developed further and strengthened. Reputation of Tripura Police should be kept intact,” Dr Saha said.The CM further said, the SP and DSP officers are there to combat cybercrime. However, there is a need for proper training of officers and staff working at the cyber cell. Many officers have already been sent for training. Dr Saha said the national helpline number, 1930, was also operational to prevent cybercrime in the state.
