Security guard charged with sexual assault of woman picked up in Forest Lawn, driven to industrial area

Police have charged a man working as a security guard for the sexual assault and confinement of a woman who was picked up in Forest Lawn and driven to an industrial area.

According to a police press release, a uniformed security guard driving a car owned by the company he was working for picked up a woman on June 10 in the southeast community.

She was then driven to a southeast industrial area, where the assault is said to have occurred in the company vehicle.

It was the security company that alerted police to the alleged crime, which occurred during the guard’s work hours, after reviewing video footage from the car’s interior camera on July 29.

The sexual assault investigative unit identified a victim and charges were laid on Sept. 1, 2026

Muhammad Hussain, 34 of Calgary, has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of forcible confinement.

Hussain will appear in court on Oct. 14, 2026.
