Selectstar, a company specialising in AI data and trustworthiness evaluation, said on Oct. 21 it signed a letter of intent (LOI) with global network and security company Cisco to cooperate in AI security and trustworthiness.
The companies held a signing ceremony on Oct. 20 at Cisco Korea’s headquarters. They agreed to use their technologies and expertise to support corporate customers’ safe adoption and use of AI.
The cooperation focuses on linking Cisco’s AI security solution, AI Defense, with Selectstar’s AI trustworthiness evaluation technology. The companies plan to discuss ways to assess vulnerabilities in AI models and respond to security threats that occur during operations.
Selectstar supports everything from generating AI evaluation data to assessing model performance and safety, red-teaming and analysing results through its in-house Datumo Platform.
The companies plan to seek AI security and trustworthiness verification measures tailored to corporate customer needs. They also plan to expand cooperation through joint seminars and marketing, among other activities.
Selectstar CEO Seyeob Kim (김세엽) said the LOI would serve as an opportunity to discuss in concrete terms the possibility of cooperation with Cisco in AI security and trustworthiness. He said the companies would seek cooperation measures needed by corporate customers based on their expertise and continue to broaden opportunities for collaboration.
