A Grundy County grand jury indicted a sexual predator this week. Michael Young, 46, of Coal City was charged with Failing To Register as a Sex Offender, a class three felony. The indictment alleges that Young failed to register as a sex offender with the Coal City Police Department on May 5th. He was issued a notice to appear in court.
In 2010, Young was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated sexual abuse of a 9-year-old child and was released on parole in 2015.
