Silverfort and SentinelOne have announced a strategic partnership to secure identities across human users, AI agents, and machine-based systems. The collaboration brings together identity security and AI-driven threat detection into a unified control framework designed to operate at runtime.
The companies position the partnership as a response to the growing complexity of enterprise environments, where service accounts, APIs, workload identities, and autonomous agents now operate alongside human users. As these systems execute actions at machine speed, identity-based threats are becoming harder to detect and contain using traditional security models.
Addressing identity risk in automated environments
The partnership centres on securing identities during active execution rather than relying solely on perimeter or static controls. This approach aims to detect and respond to threats as they occur, particularly in environments where AI agents and automated workflows operate without direct human oversight.
Recent incidents cited by the companies illustrate the speed and scale of such risks. In one case on 31 March 2026, a supply chain attack involving compromised npm credentials led to the first infection within 89 seconds of publication. In another incident, SentinelOne identified and blocked a trojaned version of LiteLLM that had been modified by an autonomous coding assistant, terminating the malicious process within 44 seconds during execution.
These cases highlight the limits of manual response workflows in modern environments, where identity misuse and authentication-based attacks can unfold in seconds. The partnership aims to reduce response time by integrating identity signals directly into automated detection and response systems.
Unified control across identity and endpoint domains
The joint solution combines Silverfort’s runtime identity security with SentinelOne’s AI-powered Singularity platform. This integration allows identity and endpoint data to be correlated in real time, enabling automated enforcement actions across both domains.
Silverfort’s technology focuses on discovering and securing identity types, including non-human identities such as service accounts and AI agents. It applies runtime controls such as multi-factor authentication, just-in-time access, and adaptive policies, extending protection to legacy systems and infrastructure that may not support modern identity frameworks.
SentinelOne contributes detection and response capabilities across endpoints, cloud workloads, and user identities. By linking these signals, the combined system is designed to identify abnormal behaviour during execution and trigger immediate containment actions.
The result is a single control layer where identity risk becomes part of the broader threat detection process. Illegitimate authentication attempts can be blocked in real time, while compromised credentials can be isolated without requiring system-wide shutdowns.
Moving towards autonomous security operations
The partnership also reflects a shift towards automated security operations, where detection and response processes are increasingly handled without manual intervention. The integrated platform is designed to block identity-based attacks during runtime, limiting lateral movement and privilege escalation.
Beyond integration, the companies describe the collaboration as a deeper technical alignment involving joint research and development.
