South Sudanese cybercrime act takes effect ahead of December elections
South Sudan has begun operationalising the Cybercrime and Computer Misuse Act, 2026. The presidency said the act will strengthen digital governance, enhance national security, protect citizens from cyber-enabled crimes and foster a safe, secure and responsible online environment as the country prepares for the December 2026 general elections.
