Soxton AI has acquired Cipher, a company focused on real-time security infrastructure for autonomous AI applications, as it expands its full-stack legal technology platform for startups.
The acquisition strengthens Soxton AI’s ability to protect sensitive startup data and secure autonomous workflows by integrating Cipher’s security layer directly into its AI-driven legal infrastructure. Cipher’s team will also join Soxton, enhancing its ability to build and deploy multi-agent systems for legal processes.
The transaction was executed entirely on Soxton AI’s own platform, demonstrating its ability to automate complex legal workflows such as negotiating terms, drafting agreements, and closing deals. By replacing traditional M&A processes, the company said it saved an estimated $80,000 in legal fees.
The deal builds on Soxton AI’s recent launch out of stealth, supported by $2.5 million in pre-seed funding led by Moxxie Ventures, with participation from Strobe, Coalition, Caterina Fake, and Flex. The company’s platform is designed to automate key legal functions for early-stage founders, including incorporation, equity management, fundraising, and compliance.
With the addition of Cipher’s technology, Soxton AI aims to further enhance the reliability and safety of AI-powered legal systems while continuing its broader mission of modernizing legal operations and reducing costs for startups.
