Sterling Investment Partners announced that it has acquired Cyber Advisors, a provider of cybersecurity and managed IT services. Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Maple Grove, Minnesota, Cyber Advisors delivers managed security services, cybersecurity consulting, and technology solutions to a broad range of small, mid-sized, and enterprise clients. The company is led by Founder and CEO Shane Vinup and employs more than 330 professionals supporting over 1,800 customers nationwide.
Sterling Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on building middle-market companies, said the acquisition aligns with its strategy of investing in businesses with strong competitive advantages and growth potential. The firm has completed over 280 transactions representing more than $34 billion in aggregate value.
Cyber Advisors operates in a cybersecurity and IT services market that continues to expand due to increasing digital transformation and security needs. Sterling indicated that it plans to support the company’s next phase of growth by leveraging its resources and industry expertise.
