Sunday cartoon: Bus Stop Kids back to school safety | #schoolsaftey #kids #parents #children

BURRILLVILLE – School is back in session this week after spring break. The popular Bus Stop Kids cartoon characters remind kids and students about their bus stop, school bus, bus crossings and pedestrian safety throughout the school year to try to keep them safer. There are many potential hazards for children heading out to school each day then returning home again after the day ends.

These coloring cartoons are a perfect way to convey safety messages to little kids while coloring and participating with activities pages published here every Sunday. Parents and guardians are encouraged to discuss child safety concerns using these images in your homes, daycares, libraries, community centers, children’s hospitals, family clinics, and pediatric doctor’s offices. My Seasons Of Safety kids coloring campaign reaches thousands of little kids and families season after season, year after year across the U.S. Sharing with others on social networks also helps expand the reach and insure that more children are able to see, read and color in these safety coloring cartoons. It could help prevent unintentional injuries and potentially save children’s lives.

Jim Weicherding is a Burrillville resident, and the founder and creator of an award-winning traffic safety effort Seasons of Safety. Weicherding contributes kids’ coloring cartoons, which can be printed and used to help parents discuss safety issues with their children. He has a long list of police officers and firefighters in his family and has worked with law enforcement and firefighters in a creative public safety capacity for more than two decades
