TEAM has added SailPoint to its cybersecurity portfolio in Mexico, expanding its Identity Security and Identity Governance and Administration offering as hybrid work, cloud adoption and AI increase the number of human and non-human identities that organizations must control.
TEAM is expanding its cybersecurity portfolio in Mexico through a new partnership with SailPoint, positioning identity management as a growing priority for organizations operating across hybrid, multicloud and AI environments.
The Mexican technology distributor announced the incorporation of SailPoint into its strategic cybersecurity brands on September 11, 2026. The agreement will give TEAM’s channel partners access to SailPoint’s Identity Security and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) capabilities, with a focus on controlling access to enterprise resources and reducing risks associated with excessive or unmanaged privileges.
As organizations move more workloads to the cloud and adopt AI the traditional security perimeter is becoming increasingly difficult to define. Employees, contractors, applications, devices and automated systems can all require access to corporate resources, creating a broader identity management challenge.
“Identity management is a central component of enterprise security, particularly in hybrid and multicloud environments where the number of human and non-human identities continues to grow,” says Javier Rubio, Chief Enabler Officer at TEAM.
The partnership reflects that shift by expanding identity governance beyond conventional user access.
SailPoint’s platform is designed to help organizations manage the identity lifecycle, govern access for employees and third parties, and oversee non-human accounts while maintaining visibility across hybrid environments, multiple cloud providers and SaaS applications.
Identity Moves Beyond Human Users
For businesses, the challenge is no longer limited to determining whether an employee should have access to a particular system. Organizations also need to establish what resources identities can reach, for how long and under which conditions.
TEAM says SailPoint’s capabilities can automate identity lifecycle processes, including the provisioning and deprovisioning of access. The approach is intended to reduce excessive privileges, support security audits and compliance requirements, and provide greater visibility into identities operating across complex IT environments.
The emphasis on non-human identities also reflects a broader change in enterprise security as AI systems and AI agents become more integrated into business processes.
Rajat Bhargava, CEO of JumpCloud, says the expansion of agentic AI is changing the identity model from one centered primarily on people to one that must also account for autonomous agents and AI services. These systems may require access to financial databases, customer relationship management platforms, sales applications and other core enterprise infrastructure.
For organizations adopting AI, that creates a governance question alongside the technology opportunity: how can autonomous systems receive the access required to perform their functions without creating uncontrolled security exposure?
That challenge places identity governance closer to the center of AI security strategies, particularly as enterprises move from experimentation toward broader operational deployment.
Building the Mexican Channel
TEAM plans to support SailPoint’s expansion in Mexico through a commercial and technical enablement program for its channel. The initiative will include training programs, practical workshops, demonstrations, demand-generation tools and specialized support for projects.
The objective is to equip TEAM’s channel partners to address identity security requirements as organizations manage increasingly distributed technology environments.
Rubio says the partnership will combine SailPoint’s identity governance platform with technical and commercial enablement, allowing TEAM’s partners to approach the market with a structured offering.
The strategy also places channel capabilities at the center of the expansion. Rather than limiting the agreement to the distribution of a cybersecurity platform, TEAM will use training and project support to develop the expertise required to implement identity governance across different enterprise environments.
This becomes particularly relevant as companies manage combinations of on-premises infrastructure, multiple cloud platforms and SaaS applications. The complexity of these environments can make fragmented access controls harder to monitor and govern.
Identity as an AI Security Layer
The addition of SailPoint gives TEAM a broader position in a cybersecurity segment that is increasingly connected to the adoption of cloud computing and AI.
Bhargava argues that organizations will increasingly need to manage thousands of autonomous agents performing operational tasks, making the governance of non-human identities a fundamental part of enterprise security.
For Mexican businesses, the emerging identity challenge therefore extends beyond employee credentials. As agentic systems gain greater access to corporate applications and data, organizations will need mechanisms to determine which systems those agents can access and maintain oversight of those interactions.
