A two-week operation targeting child predators in Berkshire County has resulted in the arrest and charging of ten individuals, according to the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit and the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office. The operation, which was partially funded by a Human Trafficking Enforcement grant, aimed to apprehend individuals involved in human trafficking crimes.
Law enforcement officers posed as 14 and 15-year-old females on various online platforms. The defendants reportedly communicated with these officers, believing them to be minors, and traveled to pre-arranged locations in the Berkshires with the intent to pay for sex with individuals under the age of 16.

Charges range from possession and distribution of obscene material to enticement of a child under 16 and sexual conduct for a fee. Bail amounts vary, with some defendants held pending evaluation and others released on personal recognizance.
The defendants were arraigned in either Central Berkshire District Court or Great Barrington District Court.
