
Ten men have been charged in connection with a Berkshire County child predator sting operation, the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Police identified the suspects while conducting a grant-funded operation targeting human traffickers, the district attorney’s office said in a press release. As part of the operation, law enforcement officers posed as 14- and 15-year-old girls on various online platforms.
The 10 suspects communicated with the undercover officers online and traveled to prearranged locations in the Berkshires with the intent to pay for sex with girls under the age of 16, the district attorney’s office said.
The suspects include:
- Pittsfield resident Sydney Brodrick, 21, who was charged with possession and distribution of obscene material. He was arraigned on April 1 and held pending an evaluation.
- Pittsfield resident Ted Crosby, 56, who was charged with paying for sexual conduct for a fee, exhibition of a child in a sexual act, enticement of a child under 16 and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 7 and held on $5,000 bail.
- Pittsfield resident Roger Prell, 67, who was charged with paying for sexual conduct with a minor, enticement of a child under 16, sharing obscene material with a minor and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 10 and released on personal recognizance bail.
- Pittsfield resident Dana Brookman, 31, who was charged with enticement of a child under 16, sharing obscene material with a minor and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 14 and held on $7,000 bail.
- Eduardo “Kevin” Miranda Hernandez, 26, who was charged with enticement of a child under 16, buying liquor for a person under 21 and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 14 and held on $5,000 bail. He also has an active warrant against him out of Connecticut on a strangulation charge.
- Housatonic resident Jonathan Kornbluth, 45, who was charged with enticement of a child under 16, drug possession and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 14 and held on $5,000 bail.
- Ronkonkoma, New York, resident Forhad Chaudhury, 40, who was charged with paying for sexual conduct with a minor, enticement of a child under 16 and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 14 and held on $15,000 bail.
- Westfield resident Jean Arce, 39, who was charged with paying for sexual conduct with a minor, enticement of a child under 16 and attempt to commit a crime. He was arraigned April 14 and held on $5,000 bail.
- Brookfield resident Dominick Boschetto, 31, who was charged with paying for sexual conduct and enticement of a child under 16 for sex. He was arraigned April 15 and held on $5,000 bail.
- Stevenson Clercidor, whose charges are not listed because his case is still being processed.
Boschetto is an Auburn, Massachusetts, police officer, and his department put him on administrative leave on Monday after he was arrested by Massachusetts State Police. The charges against him are not related to his on-duty actions, Auburn police said previously.
