Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian School of Business (ISB) to collaborate on advanced research, technology-driven tools, and policy frameworks to tackle emerging cybercrime threats, especially financial fraud. The agreement, formalised through ISB’s Institute of Data Science (IIDS), will focus on four key areas — policy development for fraud prevention and prosecution, in-depth studies on financial cybercrime, including mule accounts and digital money laundering, AI-driven risk modelling, and capacity-building for law enforcement through immersive learning tools. DGP Jitender highlighted that cybercrime is one of the fastest-evolving challenges in policing. “By combining ISB’s expertise in data science with TGCSB’s field experience, we aim to build tools that not only respond to but also prevent crimes,” he said. ISB dean, professor Madan Pillutla, said that the collaboration would strengthen financial security and support enforcement agencies in combating new-age threats.
