Thoropass Makes Inc. 5000 for Third Year as Cybersecurity Audit Platform Scales | #hacking | #cybersecurity | #infosec | #comptia | #pentest | #ransomware

Thoropass, a cybersecurity audit company combining AI-powered software with human auditors, has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 for the third consecutive year as adoption of its Audit Lifecycle Platform continues to grow.

The annual Inc. 5000 ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. based on percentage revenue growth over a three-year period. Thoropass did not disclose its 2026 ranking or revenue growth rate in announcing the recognition.

The company’s continued growth is tied to an operational problem facing businesses with expanding cybersecurity and regulatory requirements: completing increasingly complex audits while coordinating evidence across numerous internal systems, compliance frameworks and stakeholders.

Thoropass has built its platform around managing that workflow from evidence collection through completion of the audit. The system combines continuous, AI-powered evidence collection and AI agents with a team of auditors, allowing customers to manage more of the audit lifecycle within a single operating environment.

“Making the Inc. 5000 three years in a row reflects the trust our customers place in Thoropass and the work our team has done to build a fundamentally better approach to cybersecurity audits,” CEO and co-founder Sam Li said.

Thoropass supports compliance with more than 30 frameworks, including SOC 2, PCI and HITRUST. Its platform is also designed to work with existing governance, risk and compliance software and other systems of record rather than requiring customers to replace their current technology stack.

That integration model addresses a common source of friction in enterprise audits. Security and compliance evidence can be distributed across cloud infrastructure, identity systems, development environments, HR platforms and other business applications. Gathering, validating and organizing that information manually can create significant work for internal security and compliance teams, particularly when organizations maintain certifications across multiple frameworks.

Thoropass uses automation to reduce portions of that process while retaining human auditors for work requiring professional review and judgment. The operating model is designed to connect evidence collection, audit preparation and execution rather than treating those stages as separate workflows.

“Our rapid and continued growth shows the demand for an audit experience that combines powerful technology with deep audit expertise,” Li said. “We’re continuing to invest in the platform, AI capabilities, and people that help our customers complete audits with greater confidence and efficiency.”

The company describes its approach as AI-native auditing, with AI agents incorporated directly into the audit lifecycle. The practical test for that model is whether automation can reduce repetitive compliance work without weakening the rigor required for security audits. Maintaining that balance becomes increasingly important as customers use AI to process larger volumes of evidence and support more stages of compliance operations.

Thoropass is positioning its technology as infrastructure around the audit itself rather than solely as a compliance management application. Its ability to connect with other GRC platforms also allows organizations to retain existing systems while using Thoropass for audit execution.

The 2026 Inc. 5000 includes U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent companies that were founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022. Eligibility is based on revenue growth over the subsequent three-year measurement period.

For Thoropass, a third consecutive appearance reflects continued commercial adoption as cybersecurity audits become a recurring operating requirement for more businesses. The company’s next stage of growth will depend on scaling the combination of automated evidence handling, AI-assisted workflows and auditor capacity while supporting customers across an expanding range of compliance requirements.
