• I’m ticked off that I will no longer be able to pay for parking meters with cash or even change. What is an old lady to do when she has medical appointments in the hospital area? Not everyone has or wants a smartphone and if they have one, they don’t know how to use it. Is this another way to punish seniors?
• Now I’m really scared! AI can hack into other systems without any human involvement, totally on their own. So what’s to stop them from hacking government codes for Social Security, IRS, missile or bomb launching? Doesn’t any of that scare you? It should.
• I just learned that Nevada is using specially trained dogs to chase and teach bears to avoid neighborhoods so that they don’t have to be destroyed because they have lost their fear of people. Apparently Florida animal control hasn’t learned of this yet.
• I am ticked off at the Department of Transportation and the cities of Maitland and Winter Park for manholes that are 3 inches too low. I have lost two expensive tires on Maitland Avenue and Fairbanks over the past two months. Why aren’t they covering them properly?
The flip side
• I really appreciated Alexander, who works at the McDonald’s restaurant in the Orlando International Airport. He was so pleasant and polite when I was ordering my meal and wanted to make sure he got it right.
