PROCTOR, Ark. (WMC) – A tip from the Arkansas State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Unit has resulted in the arrest of a 47-year-old from Crittenden County.
The county sheriff’s office arrested and charged Justin Russell, of Proctor, with eight felony counts of possession/use of child sexual abuse material on Friday.
Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen says a search warrant conducted at Russell’s home resulted in the recovery of incriminating material.
Russell is set to have his first arraignment on Monday.
Sheriff Allen also wrote in a statement, “I would like to thank the Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit, who are members of the Arkansas State Police ICAP task force, for their hard work and dedication to the safety of our children and the pursuit of child predators.”
