The Tiruchi City Cyber Crime police have seized SIM boxes used for committing cybercrime, especially digital arrest, and arrested a person. The seized devices are banned in the country. A total of six SIM boxes were confiscated.Acting on intelligence inputs and information from the Department of Telecommunications, the Tiruchi City Cyber Crime Police launched an operation on Tuesday and seized the gadgets at Woraiyur here.A couple of cameras, a modem, and a couple of UPS systems were confiscated by the Cyber Crime Police from the spot. The accused was later remanded in judicial custody. Further investigation is under way into the case booked by the Tiruchi City Cyber Crime Police Station, police sources said.
