Travis Credit Union has hired Kirsten Miller as information security officer and Chris Germann as managing director of payment services to enhance the Vacaville-based institution’s cybersecurity and payment strategies.

Travis Credit Union said it is strengthening its focus on internet safety with the hiring of two professionals with 50 years of combined experience in payments, cybersecurity, risk management and operations.

The Vacaville-based financial institution announced Tuesday it brought on Kirsten Miller as information security officer and Chris Germann as managing director of payment services.

Miller will oversee the credit union’s risk management and maturity in operations. She previously held the same role for two years at Golden 1 Credit Union, according to her VSP Global and Citigroup.

“Kirsten’s leadership is vital as we continue to enhance our cybersecurity efforts,” said Kevin Miller, president and CEO at Travis Credit Union. “Her vision and expertise will help us stay ahead of evolving risks.”

Germann will lead the newly formed payment services group, which integrates payment product development, fraud mitigation and card and loan servicing. He previously held leadership roles at Huntington National Bank and TCF National Bank.

“Chris is a strategic and operational payments leader,” Miller said. “This appointment will ensure that we remain at the forefront of industry standards and best practices.”

Founded in 1951, Travis Credit Union serves Solano and 11 other Northern California counties. It reported $5 billion in assets and has 250,000 members.
