Turkish police have detained 568 suspects in a sweeping series of cybercrime operations across 24 provinces, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Wednesday.
In a post shared on X, Yerlikaya said the 10-day operations targeted crimes including illegal online betting, aggravated fraud, online child exploitation and abuse, laundering of criminal assets and high-level theft.
The minister said acting in coordination with public prosecutors and the cybercrime division of the Security Directorate General, simultaneous raids were conducted in 39 cities.

The operations were centered in 24 provinces but extended to additional locations, including İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Van and Adana, among others.
Suspects allegedly used social media platforms and phishing websites to defraud victims with promises of high returns, according to the minister’s statement. They are also accused of providing infrastructure for illegal betting sites, facilitating online gambling, laundering money and gaining unauthorized access to mobile banking accounts to obtain illicit funds.
Prosecutors have launched investigations into offenses including aggravated fraud via information systems, illegal betting, online child pornography, organized crime, money laundering and theft.
As part of the crackdown, police seized assets worth more than 1.1 billion Turkish lira (approximately $34 million), including 21 vehicles, eight motorcycles, 28 plots of land, nine residences or shops and 11 gardens. Police also confiscated unlicensed firearms and a significant amount of digital equipment.
The Interior Ministry described the operation as one of the largest of its kind and said the efforts to dismantle cybercrime networks would continue.
