In its press release, the UCSO said it worked alongside Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in Ohio, with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI), to facilitate his arrest.

In North Carolina, Neuenschwander faces two counts of solicitation of a child by computer. In Ohio, he is being charged with two counts each of importuning, unlawful sexual conduct of a minor and possession of criminal tools.

He is currently being held at the Ottawa County Detention Center in Port Clinton, Ohio, under a $450,000 secured bond and will be held pending extradition to North Carolina to face additional charges.

The second investigation is out of Rockingham here in North Carolina. According to the UCSO, Craig Gray, 65, was arrested after making arrangements to meet a minor female following conversations in which he described the sexual acts he intended to commit.

The UCSO worked with the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend Gray. He has been charged with one count of felony solicitation of a child by computer (1 count)

Gray was arrested by UCSO personnel and transported back to Union County where he was placed under a secured bond of $10,000. He has since been able to post bond, securing his release from custody.

“These arrests represent two more examples of the ongoing work being conducted by the UCSO’s Criminal Investigations Bureau to combat the exploitation of children,” UCSO official said in the press release. “These cases require countless hours of investigation, digital forensics, interagency coordination, and determination from detectives and analysts alike.”
