UNION COUNTY, N.C. — In two recent and unrelated cases, investigators with the Union County Sheriff’s Office (UCSO) Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) helped identify and apprehend online predators who made explicit plans to meet with underage females. According to a UCSO press release, the arrests are the result of detailed, coordinated investigations that extended across state lines and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to protecting children both in the local community and beyond.
The first case involves 75-year-old Robert Neuenschwander of Delta, Ohio, who was recently taken into custody in Ottawa County, Ohio, after making arrangements to meet with two underage females. Prior to the planned meeting, Neuenschwander was explicitly clear about the sexual acts he intended to commit with the minors.
