USCO officials stated that during the past several months, deputies and NCSBI agents conducted an undercover chat operation targeting online predators. During the operation, Henderson allegedly arranged to travel and meet with who he thought was a 14-year-old female to engage in sexual acts. On July 25, deputies arrested Henderson at his Lexington residence for solicitation of a child by computer.

A copy of the July arrest warrant available online indicates that the alleged solicitation took place on June 11.

After arresting him on July 25, deputies transported him to the Union County Detention Center where he was formally charged. Court records show a judge set a $750,000 bond. Several days later, records show, Henderson filed a motion for bond reduction. On Aug. 1, a judge granted the motion, reducing the bond to $50,000, which he was able to satisfy and be released from custody.

However, investigators continued looking into Henderson’s online activity and later discovered that he was distributing and receiving child sexual abuse material. As a result, officials additionally charged Henderson with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. This time, agents arrested him in Davidson County on the additional charges.

“The Union County Sheriff’s Office will remain steadfast in identifying and apprehending online predators who seek to harm our children,” Sheriff Eddie Cathey said in the Facebook post. “These investigations take time, resources, and strong partnerships, but the safety of our children will always be our top priority.”

Court records show Henderson’s only previous arrests were for speeding in High Point in January 2020, and for an expired registration or tag in March of this year in Winston-Salem. Online court records did not as yet list out his new charges.
