SAN ANTONIO – As most school districts are back in class, all parents want to make sure their kids are safe.
And there are several measures they can take to keep an eye on them while they’re in school or using the internet.
No doubt, your children are your number one priority. And making sure they are safe, especially when they are back in school, is so important.
Make sure your kids never share personal information like their name, address, or school.
Use parental controls and content filters, and keep devices in common areas of the house.
If your child has a phone, be sure to:
- Turn on location sharing.
- Set usage limits on apps.
- Lock devices at bedtime.
- Block inappropriate content.
- Don’t connect to unknown Wi-Fi connections.
Encourage open communication so children immediately report uncomfortable messages or cyberbullying to a trusted adult.
