Abdul Latif Jameel’s Eapen on Agentic AI, Endpoint Security and the CIO-CISO Divide
Cybersecurity strategy now has a shelf life of weeks, not years. Today, many CISOs are forced to revisit and refine their plans every few weeks as artificial intelligence reshapes both the threat landscape and defensive priorities, said George Eapen, chief technology and security officer at Saudi diversified company Abdul Latif Jameel.

“We all agree that you need AI to counter AI,” Eapen said. “AI has driven down the cost of launching cyberattacks while pushing up their volume. If you counter that in the traditional way of human-involved threat response, it will not work.”
Organizations across industries increasingly need AI-based countermeasures, such as AI-powered security operations centers and automated red teaming, to keep pace with AI-enabled adversaries.
