MIND’s Landen Brown on Why Fragmented Data Security Tools Can’t Keep Pace With AI
It’s estimated that only 20% of organizations have the data security maturity for safe artificial intelligence adoption, according to new CISO research from MIND. As agentic AI drives data across enterprise environments at machine speed, the traditional separation between data-at-rest and data-in-motion security has become a liability.
That gap is why data loss prevention, security posture management and AI security must now converge, said Landen Brown, field CTO at MIND. The modern data estate no longer holds data in discrete enclaves; it flows continuously across SaaS platforms, on-premises systems and endpoints, making fragmented tooling untenable.
“It’s not enough to try to stitch multiple tools together. You need a single solution that really gives you the ability to discover and classify, detect, remediate and prevent all in a single platform,” Brown said.
