Zambian Cyber Crimes Act takes force
The Zambian Cyber Crimes Act No. 4 of 2025 has entered force, Ecofin reports. Authorities warn that recording, publishing or sharing private communications without consent now carries severe criminal penalties. The ministry of information and media declared the law fully operational and said that law enforcement will investigate violations whenever sufficient evidence is presented. This follows a surge in secretly recorded private conversations and meetings circulating online.
