Five men face charges including human trafficking and child solicitation following “Operation Spring Sting,” says the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — Five people have been arrested in Morgan County following an undercover operation targeting suspected child sex predators, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the arrests came during “Operation Spring Sting,” conducted over the weekend. Authorities said those arrested communicated with an undercover agent posing as a minor online. Even after being told the person was underage, investigators say the suspects traveled to meet the child and were taken into custody.

“Protecting our children and targeting those who would prey on them is an ongoing focus for our agency. These operations continue to succeed in rooting out individuals who are willing to engage in sexual activity with a minor. It is not easy to enter into the realm of child sex predators, but I am thankful for our team that is willing to do so to protect children.” – Sheriff Ron Puckett
