DESOTO COUNTY, MS. (TVMO) – Nearly every adult within DeSoto County and further afield has heard of the name Lindsey Whiteside and people are all too familiar with the sickening and heinous crime she committed against a young girl in 2024 and the very light sentenced she received in October 2025. But there is a far more sickening and frightening monster lurking deep in the shadows of DeSoto County, James Kendrick, who has committed far more sickening crimes against children since at least 2019, and yet, his name is relatively known and his punishments have been so ridiculous they are an insult to his victims and the justice system alike.
