Rocky View Schools (RVS) has received a one-time grant from the provincial government.
According to RVS, the grant is worth $822,200 to support school safety priorities across the division.
“The funding will be used to enhance physical security measures and provide school leader safety training, helping to strengthen safe and supportive learning environments for students and staff.”
According to RVS, work has already begun on several upgrades, including new security cameras at 13 schools. Additional improvements, such as public address system replacements and other security enhancements, are scheduled to continue throughout the 2026–27 school year.

RVS concluded by saying the administration will continue to implement prioritized upgrades, monitor progress, report on outcomes and continue to strengthen safety in schools across RVS.
Board approves fourth year of its 2023-2027 Education Plan
According to the division, the plan remains aligned with the goals outlined in its 2022-2026 Strategic Plan and builds on what RVS described as three strong years of implementation.
“The goals of RVS’s 2023-2027 Education Plan are to advance students’ literacy and numeracy skills, build future-ready students and create inclusive, engaging, healthy learning environments for all students,” RVS stated.
