PIKE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man has been sentenced for the crime of making children watch pornography with him.
Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin stated 73-year-old Juan Torres Alvarado, of Blooming Grove Township, previously entered a guilty plea to the charges of possession of child sexual abuse material, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent assault.
The judge sentenced Torres Alvarado to a total sentence of 56 months, more than 23 years, followed by a 3-year consecutive term of probation supervision and a fine of $3,000.
Detectives got information from a Childline report and interviewed two children at Dickson House Children’s Advocacy Center.
One of the victims said that Torres Alvarado would make them watch pornography videos with him, and the other victim said that Torres Alvarado inappropriately touched him multiple times at sleepovers, according to the affidavit.
