SEATTLE — Every parent eventually has to confront a difficult question: How to keep kids connected online while also keeping them safe.
Some of the most popular social media platforms are investing millions of dollars in tools designed to keep content appropriate and help parents stay informed about what their children are viewing on social media platforms.
ARC Seattle co-anchors Steve McCarron and Tyrah Majors spoke with Suzy Loftus, head of trust and safety at TikTok U.S.
She joined the program to discuss what TikTok is doing to keep parents informed about what their kids are viewing on the app.
She also talked about the platform’s “Family Pairing” feature, how parents can manage the platform’s settings, and how parents can start conversations with their teens about online safety.
