Under the MoU, The UAE Cyber Security Council and Visa will collaborate to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across UAE government entities through a comprehensive capacity-building program.
The UAE Cyber Security Council and Visa, a global leader in digital payments, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for cybersecurity knowledge sharing, skills development and information exchange across the UAE’s digital ecosystem.
The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for UAE Government, and Joanne Kubba, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA), Visa, during a signing ceremony held on the sidelines of Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) in Dubai.
Under the MoU, The UAE Cyber Security Council and Visa will collaborate to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities across UAE government entities through a comprehensive capacity-building program. As part of this effort, government employees nominated by the UAE Cyber Security Council will undertake Visa’s flagship Payments Cybersecurity I and Payments Cybersecurity II training courses and sit for the Visa Payments Cybersecurity Certification examination, delivered through Visa University, Visa’s global learning and certification platform.
The program provides industry-focused education in payments cybersecurity, risk management, and digital commerce, helping equip participants with the skills needed to address evolving cyber threats across the payments ecosystem.
