Panchkula: A case has been registered against three persons, including a woman’s estranged husband and two former women colleagues at their financial services firm, for allegedly hacking her mobile phone and laptop, accessing private and professional data and digitally stalking her.A resident of Mansa Devi Complex, Sector 4, said she and her husband separated in Sept 2022 but continued to run their Panchkula-based financial services partnership firm. She alleged that the two former employees, in connivance with her husband, used spyware called QuickSpy to hack her devices and access personal and client-related data.She added that attempts were made to obtain her call detail records and location information, while her conversations and movements were illegally monitored. Surveillance devices were also allegedly installed in her car and house.The woman alleged that the stolen data was used to tarnish her reputation and pressure her.Following an inquiry into her complaint submitted to the DCP office, Mansa Devi Complex police registered an FIR last month under Sections 43, 66 and 72 of the Information Technology Act and Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The FIR has become public now.
