ICT company Kudo Communication said on Monday it held a press briefing and will step up its AI-based security business in cooperation with AI application security firm Black Duck.

The company said existing security tools struggle to distinguish real risks from simple alerts in AI-generated code, increasing the burden on development and security teams.

Yen Cheong (옌 청), Black Duck’s head of APAC channels, said the surge in AI-assisted code generation has sped up development, but makes it more important to screen and respond to vulnerabilities that can be exploited. He said security needs to focus on real risks without disrupting development workflows, rather than simply finding large numbers of vulnerabilities.

The companies also unveiled Signal, an agentic AI application security solution, at the briefing.
Signal analyses both AI-written and human-written code in real time to identify security vulnerabilities and defects. It selects only risks that can actually be exploited as “signals” and provides them in order of priority.

It helps reduce excessive alerts, or noise, generated by existing security solutions and supports organisations in focusing on issues that require an actual response. The companies stressed that it integrates with major AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude and Gemini, and can be applied across diverse development environments by supporting everything from the latest languages to legacy settings.

Kudo Communication Vice President Cheol-bong Kim (김철봉) said ensuring both speed and security at the same time is emerging as key to corporate competitiveness in AI-based development environments. He said the company will actively support domestic firms in building a security system focused on real risks through Black Duck Signal.
