When a Loveland resident received unsolicited child sexual abuse material in May, the report led to a four-month investigation and the arrest of a 23-year-old Georgia man last Wednesday, according to authorities.
The Georgia man was arrested by the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday after Loveland detectives determined the person sending the unsolicited child sexual abuse material likely lived in Brunswick, Georgia, according to a Loveland Police Department press release. The Glynn County Sheriff’s Office and the Loveland Police Department worked together to arrest the 23-year-old on multiple felony charges related to sexually explicit content depicting minors.
“Through tremendous collaboration, investigators gathered critical evidence, developed probable cause, and obtained a search warrant,” the press release stated.
The Brunswick, Georgia, man is facing five charges of creating or possessing with intent to distribute or sell a visual medium depicting a minor in sexually explicit conduct; two charges of child molestation; and a charge of computer or electronic pornography and child exploitation prevention.
“More than 1,500 miles separated our two agencies, but distance never stood in the way of doing the right thing,” the press release stated.
