BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (WRGB) — A new Saratoga County commission is focused on improving child safety.
The new Child Safety Review Commission was formed by District Attorney Brett Eby. The 53 members include law enforcement, educators, child advocates, mental health professionals and legal experts.
“Child safety does not fall within the responsibility of any one agency or profession. Protecting children requires all of us to work together,” said Eby in a statement. “By bringing these perspectives together, we have an opportunity to see problems from different angles and develop solutions that can make a real difference.”
Everyone on the commission serves on a volunteer basis. Eby says more than 250 people expressed interest in being on it.
