LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A man was arrested in Lancaster County on Sept. 17 for allegedly meeting up with what he thought was a 13-year-old for sexual acts.
The Strasburg Borough Police responded to a call from an organization that catches child predators. When officials arrived at the scene, Jacob Novak, 53, admitted he traveled to meet what he thought was a teenage girl to commit sexual acts.
When police brought Novak back to the station, they reportedly found the conversation that included the alleged offenses on his phone.
In addition, the organization that catches child predators accused Novak of watching child porn.
Novak is facing the following charges:
- Attempted aggravated indecent assault of an individual less than 16
- Soliciting aggravated indecent assault of an individual less than 16
- Attempted indecent assault of an individual less than 16
- Soliciting indecent assault of an individual less than 16
