Pardo was released from a Florida state correctional facility and dropped off at a bus stop in Flagler Beach at approximately 10:17 p.m. on June 18, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
As a condition of his release, Pardo was fitted with a GPS ankle monitor and ordered to report to the Florida Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Office in Bunnell at 8 a.m. the following morning.
Authorities said Pardo failed to report as required. GPS data from his ankle monitor allegedly showed he walked more than six miles overnight from the bus stop to a Palm Coast residence where he had committed prior sex offenses. The home was located about 10 miles from the probation office, investigators said.
Probation officers notified sheriff’s detectives early Friday morning after Pardo failed to appear and his monitor showed him near the location of his previous crimes.
Major Case detectives and the agency’s Real Time Crime Center worked with state probation officials to track Pardo’s movements and locate him. Detectives ultimately found him walking along Old Kings Road and took him into custody.
According to investigators, Pardo initially denied going to the residence before later claiming he had traveled to the area only to orient himself. He also allegedly said he did not know he was required to report to probation that morning and maintained he had no intention of contacting any victims.
Authorities said there is no indication Pardo entered the residence or contacted anyone there. Detectives later determined the victims no longer lived at the home.
“This pervert, convicted rapist, pedophile, and predator, couldn’t even make it one night out of prison before he attempted to contact the victims he assaulted,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “He clearly didn’t learn anything in prison. Thanks to his ankle monitor and the fast work of our detectives and parole officers, his first day of freedom ended behind bars at the Green Roof Inn, which is exactly where this predator belongs for the rest of his life, and if the law would allow it, he should be ordered to have a penectomy!”
Pardo is a registered sexual predator as a result of a 2018 case in which authorities said he repeatedly sexually abused two children in his care over several years and molested a third child during a sleepover.
In 2019, Pardo pleaded no contest and was found guilty of two counts of sexual battery by a custodian of a victim older than 12 and younger than 18, as well as one count of sexual battery. He was sentenced to eight years in state prison followed by 15 years of sex offender probation.
Deputies arrested Pardo on a violation of probation charge. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.
