More than 40 parents participated in the programme held at the Innovative Research Centre, Kalyan Nagar, Bengaluru. Premakumari, Kalyan Nagar Ward Member, was present at the programme and appreciated the initiative to strengthen awareness on child rights and child protection at the community level.
During the interaction with parents, Premakumari assured that a Ward-Level Children’s Sabha would be facilitated, providing children an opportunity to express their views, raise issues concerning them and participate in matters affecting their lives and community.Nagasimha G Rao, child rights activist, interacted with the parents and explained the important provisions of the law in a simple and practical manner. He also discussed the role of parents in ensuring children’s safety and reporting mechanisms.
