SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office reports a registered sex offender was arrested for the second time in two years on Tuesday on charges involving child sexual abuse material.

Michael Anthony Exall is facing ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree – enhanced.

Deputies said they received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) concerning suspected child sexual abuse material.

Exall was on probation for a previous criminal sexual conduct with a minor offense and out on bond on previous charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree at the time of his arrest, according to deputies.

Deputies said Exall is subject to an enhanced penalty due to being previously convicted of an offense requiring registration as a sex offender.

Exall was taken to the Spartanburg County Detention Center and denied bond.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit along with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations conducted the investigation.
