SPRINGFIELD – The City Council Elder Affairs Committee will meet Thursday to discuss senior scams, fraud prevention and other issues that will protect older residents from becoming victim to fraudulent activity.
The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Room 200 in City Hall. Police Det. Gregory McCain will provide information on the scams and offer resources available to protect residents. City Councilor Kateri Walsh will serve as chairwoman.
The committee will also discuss constituent concerns and any other issues related to older residents.
